At least six people were killed and 14 others were injured in a blast that took place in Chaman on Friday afternoon, said the spokesman for the Balochistan Government Liaquat Shahwani.
The blast took place during a Palestine solidarity rally that was organized by Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Nazaryati (JUI) at the Murghi Bazaar (chicken market) in Chaman.

According to Shahwani, 10 of the injured people were shifted to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital in Chaman, while the rest were taken to Quetta for treatment.
The spokesman confirmed that JUI leaders Abdul Qadir Luni and Qari Mehrullah were unharmed in the explosion.
Furthermore, the area was sealed after the blast and an emergency was imposed at local hospitals in Chaman to treat the injured.
Shahwani strongly condemned the blast in Chaman and said that terriorists were trying to destroy the peace in Balochistan.
“The enemies of solidarity with the oppressed Palestinians are on the side of Israeli aggression,” he added.
Chief Minister of Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan also condemned the attack and offered condolences with families of victims, who lost their lives today.
“Terrorist elements do not deserve any leniency. No one will be allowed to disturb the law and order of the province,” he said.
He also directed authorities to provide the best available medical facilities to the injured.
