CJP confident nation can build own dams

Chief Justice of Pakistan, Mian Saqib Nisar has been a true inspiration for the people of Pakistan. Since the day CJP Mian Saqib Nisar appealed to the Nation to donation open heartedly for the construction of Diamer-Basha Dam and Mohmand Dam, the people of Pakistan united under one flag with just one call from the CJP.

CJP is confident nation can build its own dams. Chief Justice of Pakistan, Mian Saqib Nisar showing his trust in the people of Pakistan has stated on Saturday that people of Pakistan are fully capable of building their own dams with their own resources to overcome the water crisis.

While addressing a fund-raising ceremony in Lahore organized by the business community in Lahore said that the survival of county depends on dams and also added we will construct them with our own money.

CJP Mian Saqib Nisar expressing his appreciation to the nation recalled an incident during his visit to karachi of a little girl. She handed him money for Supreme Court Fund at a local restaurant.

Akhuwat Foundation chairman Amjad Saqib has also contributed generously to the fund, informed the CJP.

He further added, our Nation is United and it is time to give back to our homeland. Whatever we are, we are because of this country, we must leave a legacy for the future generation to come.

Punjab Cabinet member will donate month’s salary, the decision came after the Prime Minister Imran Khan appealed to the nation for the donations.

On Friday Prime Minister Imran Khan appealed the overseas citizens as well.

So far Rs.1.987billion has been deposited in the Diamer Basha And Mohmand Dam Fund account. Out of which only Rs.20 million was contributed by overseas Pakistanis.
