Punjab’s Chief Minister, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, has made an important decision about the housing scheme “Apni Chat, Apna Ghar” for people with low incomes in several cities that include cities including Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Sargodha, and Rawalpindi. She has directed the immediate selection of sites for these housing schemes.
Maryam Nawaz Sharif emphasized that choosing sites for these houses must consider all factors to ensure that every house built becomes a home and meets the residential needs of people.
Under her leadership, a meeting was held to review the plan for constructing one hundred thousand houses for low-income individuals. She stressed that sites for these houses should be selected with the convenience of the city residents in mind.
Maryam Nawaz Sharif highlighted the importance of having a home, calling it a basic need for every family. She mentioned the “Apni Chat, Apna Ghar” project, which aims to fulfill these residential needs.
Furthermore, she emphasized building these housing schemes within cities where there’s available land. This ensures that residents have easy access to amenities.
During the meeting, it was revealed that the Board of Revenue has identified 17 sites for further examination. Various officials including Senior Provincial Minister Maryam Aurangzeb, Provincial Advisor Parvez Rashid, and others participated in the briefing.
