LAHORE: To ensure free health facilities to all CM Punjab Usman Buzdar has launches Insaf Medicine Card across the province under the Punjab Sehat Sahulat Program.
In total 174,882 Card will be given out to deserving patients of hepatitis, AIDs, tuberculosis, and other chronic diseases. Through this scheme, the Patients will have free access to medicines at the designated hospitals.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony on Sunday CM Usman Buzdar said the project of Insaf Medicine Card is a step toward providing free medicine to patients with Hepatitis, AIDS, and TB.
In the first phase of the program 9,862 AIDS patients, 23,560 Hepatitis and 70,047 TB patients will receive free medicines.
A simple procedure will be followed to facilitate the patients. The patients will be verified through biometric along with their original CNIC from their Tehsil Headquarters Hospital or District Headquarters Hospital. The Cards will be issued after this simple verification and get free medicine from their concerned centers.

According to the CM Punjab separate desks for Hepatitis, AIDS, and TB patients in hospitals will be established. He also said a total of 174,882 patients in 36 districts of Punjab will receive the Card.
The CM Punjab also distributed the Cards among patients with Hepatitis, AIDS, and TB.
This step will make medicine & health care easier for the masses, the CM also said the Government is heading towards it’s goal of establishing a welfare state like Madina.

With this card, registered patients will be able to easily get free medicines from any of the RHCs / THQs / DHQs hospitals across Punjab.
