The total number of coronavirus cases in Pakistan have surged to 11,155 along with country’s death toll rising to 237. There were over 600 new cases reported on Thursday and 17 fatalities.
Senator Murtaza Wahab reported four deaths in his daily Twitter report in the morning bringing the province death toll to 73 and the number of cases to 3671.
Balochistan also reported 2 new fatalities which brings the number of deaths in the province to 8 while Khyber Pakhtunkhwa also reported 2 more deaths bringing the province total to 85.
Chief Minister of Punjab Usman Buzdar reported the total death toll at 65 in his Thursday night report which brings the number of fatalities up by 9 since his report the night before.

Global Update
The total number of coronavirus cases globally have surged past 2.7 million while the total death toll has surpassed 189,000 with United States reporting the most cases and fatalities on a daily basis.
United States is reporting over 20,000 cases and near or over 2,000 fatalities every single day. The number of cases in the country are over 868,000 which make up more than 30 percent of the global cases while the number of deaths are 49,094 accounting for over 25 percent of the global death toll.
Spain has over 213,000 coronavirus cases which is the second highest and a death toll of 22,157 which is the third highest. The country has seen an improvement in the daily numbers being reported.
Italy has over 190,000 coronavirus cases and the second highest death toll at 25,549. Similar to Spain, there has been a significant improvement in the new cases and fatalities being reported daily although the number is still fairly high.
There have been nearly 15,000 deaths in France every day when the country hit its peak of the coronavirus outbreak however, that number has significantly improved in recent weeks. The number of cases are over 161,500 with a death toll of 21,856 which is still drastically high.
