Coronavirus cases in Pakistan – Update [12 June 2020]

The total number of coronavirus cases in Pakistan have surged to 131,901 while the country’s death toll has reached 2,544. There were 6,473 more cases reported on Friday (12 June 2020) along with a total of 85 more fatalities from across the country. This is the highest reported death toll in a single day.

Sindh reported 17 more fatalities according to the coronavirus update by Provincial Health and Population Department. This brings the provincial death toll to 793 while total cases in Sindh have reached 49,256.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department reported 10 more fatalities bringing the provincial death toll to 642 while total cases in the province have reached 16,415.

Balochistan reported five more fatalities bringing the confirmed provincial death toll to 80 while the probable death toll has remains at 57. The number of cases in the province have reached 7,866 according to the Daily Situation Report issued by the Balochistan Health Department.

Islamabad reported three new fatalities according to the District Health Office Islamabad. The death toll of the capital city reaches at 65 while number of cases have reached 6,699. The following is the distribution of cases across the city.

Gilgit Baltistan reported one more fatality according to the Daily Situation Report issued by the GB Health Department. This brings the regional death toll to 16 while number of cases have reached 1,044.

One more fatality was reported from Azad Jammu and Kashmir bringing the death toll to 10 while number of coronavirus cases have reached 534 according to the Government of Pakistan’s COVID-19 Dashboard.

NOTE: Punjab has not reported any new figures related to coronavirus for 12 June 2020. We will update the post as soon as new figures are available.

UPDATE: PUNJAB reported 48 more fatalities according to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) bringing the provincial death toll to 938 while the number of cases have reached 50,087.
