Coronavirus cases in Pakistan – Update [17 June 2020]

The total number of coronavirus cases in Pakistan have surged to 159,686 while the country’s death toll has reached 3,087. There were 5,351 more cases reported on Wednesday (17 June 2020) along with a total of 119 more fatalities from across the country.

Sindh reported 30 more fatalities according to the coronavirus update by the Provincial Health and Population Welfare Department. This brings the provincial death toll to 916 while total cases in Sindh have reached 59,983.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department reported 24 more fatalities bringing the provincial death toll to 755 while total cases in the province have reached 19,613 according to their daily COVID-19 update.

PUNJAB reports 53 more fatalities in one day bringing the provincial death toll to 1,202 according to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA). The total coronavirus cases in the province have reached 60,138.

Balochistan reported four new fatalities bringing the confirmed provincial death toll to 93 while the probable death toll has reached at 64. The number of cases in the province have reached 8,794 according to the Daily Situation Report issued by the Balochistan Health Department.

Islamabad reported seven new fatalities according to the District Health Office Islamabad. The death toll of the capital city reaches at 90 while number of cases have reached 9,242. The following is the distribution of cases across the city.

Gilgit Baltistan reported one new fatality according to the Daily Situation Reported issued by the GB Health Department. This brings the regional death toll to 18. Furthermore, the total positive cases in the region have reached 1,213.

No new fatalities were reported from Azad Jammu and Kashmir keeping the death toll to 13 while number of coronavirus cases have reached 703 according to the Government of Pakistan’s COVID-19 Dashboard.
