The total number of coronavirus cases in Pakistan have surged to 164,719 while the country’s death toll has reached 3,228. There were 5,033 more cases reported on Thursday (18 June 2020) along with a total of 141 more fatalities from across the country.
Sindh reported 48 more fatalities according to the coronavirus update by the Provincial Health and Population Welfare Department. This brings the provincial death toll to 964 while total cases in Sindh have reached 62,269.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department reported 18 more fatalities bringing the provincial death toll to 773 while total cases in the province have reached 20,182 according to their daily COVID-19 update.
PUNJAB reports 63 more fatalities in one day bringing the provincial death toll to 1,265 according to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA). The total coronavirus cases in the province have reached 61,678.
Balochistan reported six new fatalities bringing the confirmed provincial death toll to 99 while the probable death toll has reached at 66. The number of cases in the province have reached 8,998 according to the Daily Situation Report issued by the Balochistan Health Department.
Islamabad reported four new fatalities according to the District Health Office Islamabad. The death toll of the capital city reaches at 94 while number of cases have reached 9,627 after 385 new cases were reported since yesterday’s total of 9,242. NOTE: Although everyone is reporting a total of 9,637 which doesn’t add up. The following is the distribution of cases across the city.
Gilgit Baltistan reported no new fatalities according to the Daily Situation Reported issued by the GB Health Department. This keeps the regional death toll at 18. Furthermore, the total positive cases in the region have reached 1,225.
Two new fatality was reported from Azad Jammu and Kashmir bringing the death toll to 15 while number of coronavirus cases have reached 740 according to the Government of Pakistan’s COVID-19 Dashboard.
