The total number of coronavirus cases in Pakistan have surged to 22,524 after more than 1,000 cases were reported on Tuesday along with 40 more fatalities bringing the country’s death toll to 526. This marks the highest daily recorded deaths in Pakistan.
Sindh reported 11 more fatalities according to the report issued by the Health and Population Welfare Department bringing the provincial death toll to 148.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department reported 9 new fatalities bringing the provincial total to 194 which remains the highest in Pakistan.
Punjab reported 20 more fatalities according to the report of the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) bringing the provincial death toll to 156 which was the highest figure reported today.

The global number of coronavirus cases have surged past 3.71 million along with over 257,000 deaths with United States having the most number of cases and fatalities in the world where as UK has the highest death toll in Europe.

The death toll of UK has reportedly crossed 32,000 according to the Office for National Statistics however, the official number of fatalities reported by the Department of Health are still 29,427. Although, in both scenarios UK has now passed Italy with the highest number of deaths in Europe.
