Total number of coronavirus cases in Pakistan have surged to 54,440 while the country’s death toll has reached 1,131. There were 2,147 cases reported on Saturday along with 30 more fatalities from all over Pakistan.
Sindh reported 14 more fatalities according to the coronavirus update provided by the Provincial Health and Population Welfare Department. This brings the provincial death toll to 354.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department reported eight more fatalities in the province today according to the coronavirus daily update. This brings the provincial death toll to 389.
Punjab also reported eight more fatalities bringing the provincial death toll to 332 according to the coronavirus update issued by the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA).
There were no new deaths reported in Balochistan according to the Daily Situation Report issued by the Provincial Health Department. The number of fatalities in the province remain at 39 while new cases were registered.
Gilgit Baltistan Health Department did not issue a Daily Situation Report for 23 May 2020. We will update this post with the latest figures from GB for 23 May once the report is available.
Gilgit Baltistan did not report any more fatalities either according to the Daily Situation Report by the GB Health Department. Although there were a few more cases registered.
