The total number of coronavirus cases in Pakistan have surged to 34,325 after 2,281 more cases were reported on Tuesday along with 31 more fatalities bringing the country’s death toll to 736. Punjab reported almost 1,400 cases alone.
The Sindh Health and Population Welfare Department reported 18 more fatalities today bringing the provincial death toll to 218. This was the highest single day death toll reported by the province.
Health Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa reported 10 more fatalities bringing the provincial death toll to 267 which remains the highest reported figure in Pakistan.
Punjab reported three more fatalities which brings the provincial death toll to 214. Punjab also reported a huge spike in the number of cases reported today which were 1,390.
Balochistan reported no deaths according to the daily situation report issued by the provincial health department. Although there were several more new coronavirus cases reported in the province.
The Health Department of Gilgit Baltistan also reported new cases with no new fatalities. Recovery rate in the province remains high.
