The coronavirus cases in Pakistan have surged to 5,537 after over 200 additional cases were reported on Monday along with five fatalities bringing the death toll to 96.
Punjab reported a total of three deaths in the last 24 hours with the province toll now at 24 while there was one coronavirus death reported from Sindh according to Senator Murtaza Wahab.
However, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa currently has the highest number of fatalities in the country with the death toll at 35 after one more death was just reported but Punjab is the worst affected province when it comes to the number of cases.

Global Update
The total number of coronavirus cases globally are over 1,911,599 with the death toll over 118,500 and United States being the worst affected country.
The United States has over 579,500 cases which make up 30 percent of the global cases along with having the highest number of deaths at 23,238 making up almost 20 percent of the global fatalities.
Italy has the second highest death toll at 20,465 with over 159,500 coronavirus cases which is the third highest number of cases in the world. These numbers have improved with a much lower number of new cases being reported as well as improvement in the number of deaths.
Spain has the third highest death toll with 17,489 fatalities but the second highest number of cases over 169,500 and has seen a significant decrease in the number of daily deaths as well as new cases.
France has seen a huge surge in the death rate where number of death in the country due to coronavirus have reached 14,967 however, there has been a decrease with almost 600 deaths being reported in the last 24 hours whereas earlier this number reached almost 1,500 deaths per day. The number of coronavirus cases is over 136,500 and also rising.
