The total number of coronavirus cases in Pakistan have surged to 12,710 with almost a thousand new cases being reported on Saturday along with 20 more fatalities since last night bringing the country’s death toll to 268.
Health and Population Welfare Department of Sindh reported three new deaths in their report for Saturday bringing the total death toll of the province to 78.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department reported four more deaths bringing the total number of fatalities to 93 and total cases to 1793.
Chief Minister of Punjab Usman Buzdar reported the total number of deaths in the province at 81 after missing last night’s report.

Global Update
The total number of coronavirus cases globally have surged past 2.9 million and the death toll has surpassed 202,500 and United States is reporting the most cases and fatalities everyday.
United States alone has over 953,000 coronavirus cases that account for over 32 percent of the global cases as well as 53,745 fatalities that make up over 25 percent of the global death toll.
So far Italy has the second most number of deaths at 26,384 along with over 195,000 coronavirus cases. There has been an improvement in the daily numbers being reported.
Spain has over 22,902 fatalities which is the third highest in the world and over 223,759 cases which is the second highest however, its no way near the United States.
France after seeing a significant rise in coronavirus cases and fatalities has seen significant improvements since the peak of the virus in the country. The number of cases in the country is over 161,500 and the death toll is 22,614.
The UK has also passed the 20,000 fatalities mark bringing the total death toll to 20,319 with nearly a thousand deaths reported on Saturday. The country has seen a rise in the daily numbers being reported.
