The total number of coronavirus cases in Pakistan have surged to 2,754 with over a 100 new cases and the number of deaths have rose to 43 with three new fatalities being reported out of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Not a lot of information has been issued regarding the three COVID-19 deaths however, the Directorate General Health Services has confirmed that all three patients belonged to Peshawar. This brings the total death toll of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to 14.
While the number of coronavirus cases in Pakistan have increased significantly, it should be mentioned here that 130 people have also recovered and discharged from hospitals.

Global Update
The total number of COVID-19 cases globally have crossed 1,182,500 and this number keeps rising very rapidly and not showing any signs of showing down. The global death toll from the pandemic has also crossed 64,000 and keeps going up.
United States has the highest number of COVID-19 cases at over 301,000 that accounts for almost 25% of global cases and this number is changing by the minute with over 25,000 new cases emerging in the last 24 hours alone.
United States also has the third highest coronavirus death toll of any country in the world at 8,173 and reported over a thousand deaths in a single day.
However, Italy has the highest number of COVID-19 deaths in the world with 15,362 fatalities and over 124,500 cases however, the number of new cases have seen a decline in the country compared to before but the number of deaths are still close to a thousand each day.
Spain has the second highest number of coronavirus cases with just over 124,500 and the third highest death toll with 11,744 dead. The country is getting thousands of new cases each day along with hundreds of deaths.
