Coronavirus cases in Pakistan surge to 19074 with 437 deaths

Total number of coronavirus cases in Pakistan surge to 19,074 with over 1,300 cases being reported on Saturday along with 29 more fatalities bringing the country’s death toll to 437.

Senator Murtaza Wahab reported four more fatalities in Sindh bringing the provincial death toll to 122. This report was part of his daily update on coronavirus figures in the province.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health and Finance Minister Taimur Khan Jhagra reported 11 more fatalities in the daily coronavirus update bringing the provincial total to 172.

There were also 14 more deaths in Punjab as reported by the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA). This brings the provincial total to 120.

Total number of coronavirus cases globally have surged past 3.46 million together with over 243,500 fatalities globally. United States has been the worst affected country reporting the highest figures on a daily basis.

United States has over 37 percent of the global cases as well as 27 percent of the global death toll. Other countries like Spain, Italy, UK, France also have extremely high death tolls however, countries like Germany, Turkey or Russia have the death toll under control despite having large number of cases.
