ISLAMABAD: Pakistan recorded its highest single-day coronavirus cases in three months according to the data released by the health authorities on Saturday.
According to the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), a total of 847 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Pakistan from 31,009 samples taken by health authorities bringing the national tally to 327,063.
The coronavirus also claimed the lives of 12 more people in Pakistan during the last 24 hours, taking the country’s death toll to 6,727. According to details, there are still 10,235 active cases out of which 586 patients are said to be in critical condition.

During a meeting on October 23rd, the NCOC raised concerns of rising coronavirus and mortality during the last five days as up to 40 percent increase has been recorded in the positivity rate.
