As more cases of the coronavirus are emerging Pakistan Lockdown has been Extended till 14 April 2020 to try and curb the spread of the virus in the country.
Federal Minister for Planning Asad Umar told media at a press conference today government has decided to extend the lockdown saying:
The government has decided to continue the current restrictions on public movement until April 14,
According to Asad Umar, this lockdown played a vital part in the government efforts to curb the spread of the COVID-19 virus in Pakistan, he said:
That’s why, the government has decided to continue the restrictions, except for the goods transportation, for two more weeks

Although the decision has been taken keeping that in mind. Although restriction on public movement will continue, goods transportation will be allowed.
Prime Minister Imran has also launched another initiative to help poor families during these hard times due to the coronavirus pandemic as many people are now out of work.
Imran Khan’s Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program will help poor families while the situation stabilizes and under this program, people are eligible for Rs. 12,000 cash grant.
