TLP protest has left the country is in total chaos after their chief Saad Rizvi was detained in Lahore. Roads are blocked and thousands of people stranded due to traffic jams unable to reach their destinations.
TLP chief Saad Hussain Rizvi was detained on Monday in Lahore ahead of their April 20 deadline. The TLP had threatened a sit-in in Islamabad on the failure of the government to meet their demands which the government had agreed-on on November 16. Their demand included expelling the French ambassador, severing ties with France, and boycotting French products.
In a video message, TLP naib emir Syed Zaheerul Hassan Shah said the government had “completely deviated from” the agreement it had reached with the TLP regarding Namoos-i-Risalat. The government has resorted to thuggery (Gunda gardi) and is restoring its past practices,” He told his workers in a message to come out on the roads and jam the country.
TLP followers has staged out protest through out the country causing a havoc, roads are blocked, traffic is jammed people are stuck on roads unable to commute.
The workers of Tehreek-e-Labbaik took to the streets following the arrest of their chief. Situations at Lahore have worsened as clashes erupted between the protestors and the police. The police are said to have used shelling and aerial firing to disperse the protestors.
Netizens have started sharing videos of the chaotic situation throughout the country.
The TLP workers started a protest at the entrance and exit of Lahore more than 18 main locations in Lahore were affected by the protest.
Karachi is also in a chaotic situation. Traffic blockade was reported from II Chandigarh road, Tower area, Numaish Chowrangi, Baldia Town, French Consulate, Fresco Intersection, Jamma Cloth Market, Shara-e-Faisal, towards Airport, Baths Khan,5 Star Chowrangi, Korangi no 4, Governor House. People were stuck near Jinnah International Airport for hours.
TLP blocked Murree-Isl-RWP road, National Highway at, Hub, Karachi, and Hyder Chowk in Hyderabad as they prepare for countrywide protests.
Imamia colony, Shahdara Chowk, Main Ferozepur Road at Chungi Amarsadho & Multan Road at Muhafiz Town and Chowk Yateem Khana were also affected.

The TLP has called for country wide protest following the arrest of TLP chief Saad Hussain Rizvi. The protest has dirupted the peace of people ahead of the holy month of Ramazan.
TLP member Khalid Awan has informed that TLP chief is held at Gulshan-i-Ravi police station and that they will not step back from their mission because Saad Rizvi is arrested.
