The spokesperson for the Pakistan Army DG ISPR Maj Gen Babar Iftikhar held a press conference today saying that the Pakistan Armed Forces are ready to respond to any Indian misadventure.
This was the first press conference held by the newly appointed DG ISPR Maj Gen Babar Iftikhar since he took office on 1 February 2020 replacing his predecessor Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor after he completed his tenure as the military’s spokesperson.

The newly appointed DG ISPR Maj Gen Iftikhar said that India was trying to divert attention from internal issues by playing “dangerous games” at the Line of Control (LoC) but Pakistan Army stands ready to respond if needed.
Maj Gen Iftikhar said:
Whether there are internal or external dangers, we are ready. The military is aware of our enemy’s covert operations,
He even responded to a question about Indian Threats saying:
Pakistan is keeping an eye on the Indian military’s preparedness.
Our core capability is 100% ready. If India ever tried [to start a war] we will be ready for them,
DG ISPR Maj Gen Babar Iftikhar also spoke about last year’s incident where two Indian fighter jets were downed after crossing the Line of Control (LoC) saying:
February 27 is a bright day in the history of Pakistan,
