Pakistan’s Number #1 anchor person and Islamic scholar Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain is set to join Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) today 25th October 2017.
Hussain resigned from politics before making a brief return to active politics in 2016. After the controversial speech of MQM founder on August 22, 2016, MQM Chief Altaf Hussain chanted Pakistan Murdabad and Dr Hussain had to defend him, He simply quit politics live on ARY NEWS show OFF THE RECORD, said that he won’t return to politics ever again, guess now he has changed his mind and found the perfect platform PTI.

Dr Aamir Liaquat has seen the best and worst before understand the political dynamics, been with Bad Company formerly MQM now known as MQM London which isn’t registered anywhere in the world.
Dr Hussain Bashes Altaf Hussain (MQM London) live on BOL News and that’s where he decided to join politics again, although early prediction was he might join PSP but turns out to be PTI.
PTI’s Imran Ismail, in a post on Facebook, said, “Please to announce that Dr Amir Liaquat Hussain joining PTI. Press conference at my house tomorrow [Wednesday] inshallah.”
At this moment it’s too early to say Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain is going to be a curse or blessing for PTI however one thing is for sure PTI finally found someone to guide them about Karachi politics because nobody knows better than him.
It is important to mention here that Dr Aamir Liaquat was elected as MNA for the first time in 2002 general election on the ticket of MQM from NA-249 Karachi He was appointed as the minister of state for religious affairs in September 2004.
He was the minister of state for religious affairs until July 2007.
He has been hosting shows on a private TV channel since then. He came to fore once again when the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) banned him from appearing on national television for ‘preaching hate’, a decision that was challenged by the Sindh High Court (SHC) but later upheld by the apex court of the country.
