Fact Check: Dr Abdul Qadeer Death News is Fake

There is fake news circulating regarding the death of Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan on social media with thousands of tweets being shared on Twitter without fact checking the matter.

However, Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan is alive and all news regarding his death is fake. It bears mentioning that he is currently batting with coronavirus since the last few weeks. The nuclear scientist was shifted to a hospital’s coronavirus ward due to critical condition.

Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan is the father of Pakistan’s nuclear programme and considered a hero for building Pakistan’s first atomic bomb.
