Dubai Looking Into Innovative Mass Transit Solutions

Dubai is exploring innovative transportation solutions like a driverless smart-train and a solar powered rail bus system for its mass transit network, as announced during the Dubai International Project Management Forum. The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) signed two memoranda of understanding (MoU) with international companies to advance these initiatives.

The first MoU, with UK-based Urban.Mass, aims to develop the Floc Duo Rail system—a driverless, electric-powered pod system on an elevated track. This system offers swift and efficient transportation within urban areas, utilizing double tracks.
