A 5.0 magnitude earthquake jolted several cities of Pakistan on Friday, including Islamabad, Peshawar, Rawalpindi, and Multan.
According to the National Seismic Monitoring Centre, the earthquake was recorded at 5.0 magnitude and the epicenter was at the border of Afghanistan and Tajikistan with a depth of 218 kilometers.
Islamabad, Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Murree, Faisalabad, and Multan were among the main urban centers in the country that felt the earthquake tremors.
The other areas included Lower Dir, Kohat, Buner, Malakand, Mohmand, Swat, Mardan, Nowshera, Hangu, Abbottabad, Basham, Shangla of the KP province.
According to witnesses, the jolts were severe and forced people out on the streets and offices.
There has been no reported loss of life.
