The Prime Minister Imran Khan will launch the Ehsaas Amdan Programme in Layyah District on Friday. He is expected to visiting Layyah District in Punjab today.
The implementation of the Programme has begun in January 2020. It is a four-year programme which will end in 2023.
All About Ehsaas Amdan Programme
The programme is commencing in 375 rural Union Councils in 23 poorest districts of the four provinces of Pakistan.

Ehsaas Amdan Programme is yet another project under the umbrella of Ehsaas. The main objective of this programme is to create a livelihood for the most underprivileged segment of the country.
The programme aims at giving away small assets to those living below the poverty line.
Assets include livestock (goats, cows, buffaloes and poultry), agricultural inputs, the body of Chingchi rickshaws, and inputs for small retail outlets and small enterprises.
The Ehsaas Amdan (income) programme will provide around 200,000 assets to the deserving households. Among the beneficiaries 60% will be women and 30% will be youth.
The four-year programme will be supported by the budget of PKR 15 billion. The programme will impact 1.4 million people in the country.

Beneficiaries of the programme
The programme will largely focus on the Government of Pakistan’s Kafaalat households. However other deserving population will also benefit.
The Kafaalat households will be further supported through asset transfer. These households will also benefit from the vocational training as well as interest-free loan to further enhance their business.
Programme Targets
- 200,000 households (having PSC 0-18) will receive productive assets or vocational skills
- 60% of the asset beneficiaries will be women
- 30% of the asset beneficiaries will be youth
- 221,926 interest-free loans will be provided out of which approximately 50% of loans will be to households who have received assets under this programme (110,726 households)

Radio Pakistan has reported that Prime Minister Imran Khan is expected to launch the Programme in Layyah district on Friday.
