An update regarding the distribution of funds has been disclosed by the Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program which shows the total amount disbursed till now and the total amount of beneficiaries that the payments have been made to under the initiative.

According to the update released by the Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program a total of 7,479,774 deserving people have been paid out financial aid of Rs. 12,000 and the total amount distributed is Rs. 91.2131 billion. These numbers include everyone between 9 April 2020 to 11 May 2020.

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Dr Sania Nishtar also gave a breakdown of the distribution of the Ehsas Emergency Cash in a series of tweets.
According to the SAPM, so far 163,419 163,419 category-3 beneficiaries identified through district administrations have been paid out Rs.1.961 billion.
Category 2 beneficiaries who entered the program through 8171 SMS service are also being paid and so far Rs. 35.347 billion have been paid out to 2.945 million people.
Dr Sania Nishtar also added that payment to Category 1 is almost complete and so far Rs. 54.303 billion have been paid out to 4.403 million beneficiaries.

Another announcement was also made in continuation to previous announcements. This announcement states that all those who have collected the financial aid of Rs. 12,000 should not apply to the Ehsaas Emergency Cash again as this aid will be provided only once to a single member in the family.
