ISLAMABAD: The scope of the Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program is being expanded according to the Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Poverty Alleviation and Social Security Dr Sania NIshtar.
Previously the budget of the Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program was Rs. 144 billion which has now been expanded to Rs. 203 billion aimed at helping more deserving people across the country.

According to Dr Sania Nishtar, around half of the country’s population will now benefit from the Ehsaas Emergency Cash Programme. The PM’s aide said:
I am also happy to tell you that the programme is also being acknowledged internationally. Our government has the honour of introducing the biggest social protection programme, in the shortest amount of time.
So far over 155.64 billion has been distributed to more than 12.863 beneficiaries across the country according to the PM’s aide. The following is the breakdown do the cash disbursement as of 16 July 2020.
