ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has launched the second phase of the Ehsaas Program (COVID19 Relief Fund) for those affected by the coronavirus lockdown.

Addressing at the COVID19 Relief Fund launch ceremony PM Imran Khan said that the second phase of the Ehsaas Program was aimed at helping those who lost their jobs since the coronavirus lockdown and did not receive financial aid under the first phase of the program.
Under the second phase of the program, deserving people will get Rs. 12,000 cash aid like before but according to the Prime Minister, they would have to prove that they were working before the lockdown and have since lost their jobs.

PM Khan said that he would personally monitor the accountability process and the progress of the COVID19 Relief Fund and the public will be provided complete details of the audit.
He also mentioned that the government will be contributing Rs. 4 for every Rs. 1 donated to the relief fund so that relief can be provided to the maximum number of people.
The Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Social Protection and Poverty Alleviation Dr Sania Nishtar has explained the complete application process for the second phase of the Ehsaas Programme (COVID19 Relief Fund).
Note: This second phase of the programme is only for those people who lost their jobs because of the coronavirus lockdown.
To register for the Ehsaas Program the government launched a new web portal where you can register. The procedure of how to register for the second phase of the Ehsaas Program will be published in detail shortly.
