There have been many reports of corruption at Ehsaas Program Payment Centers and the latest incident that was reported on Twitter has been noticed by the Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Pover Alleviation and Social Security Dr Sania Nishtar.

An incident was reported at the Dhareja Phattak Ehsaas Program Payment Center at a mobile shop by the name of Haider Mobile where payments were being disbursed for the intitiative to deserving families. According to a tweet the person was told a woman that she had received only Rs. 9,000 instead of the Rs. 12,000 promised under the program and he was even charging a Rs. 500 fee from the amount and handing over Rs. 8,500.
A video of the woman was recorded asking her about what happened and posted on Twitter. Dr Sania Nishtar took notice of the incident was responded saying that the matter will be investigated and person responsible will be punished.

The continued saying that the money stolen from the lady will be returned and action will be taken mentioning there there is “zero tollerence for corruption”.
The person responsible at the Ehsaas Program Payment Center might have done this to a lot of other people and hopefully the matter will be investigated now and action will be taken accordingly.
Under the Ehsas Emergency Program, poor and deserving families are entitled to a financial aid of Rs. 12,000 in these hard times of lockdown due to coronavirus as most daily wage earners are out of work.
Ehsaas Emergency Program registrations ended 19 April 2020 and those who were accepted into the program will receive payment confirmation to collect the amount.
