ISLAMABAD: Ehsaas Program Payment Centers will be closed for two days on 26 and 27 April and will re-open from Tuesday, 28 April 2020 for cash disbursement.
This reason behind the closure of the Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program Payment Centers are the two bank holidays that fall on the same date due to Zakat deduction for this year. According to sources, the affected beneficiaries are requested to visit centers on Tuesday, 28 April.
As per the official notice of the State Bank of Pakistan, all banks in the country will remain closed for public on 27 April, 2020 for Zakat deduction and will continue normal operations from Tuesday, 28 April.

The Nisab for this year’s Zakat deduction has been fixed at Rs. 46,329 for saving accounts, profit and loss sharing accounts and other similar accounts with the minimum balance mentioned. Current accounts and Foreign accounts are exempted from Zakat deduction. Although it should be noted that when banks reopen on Tuesday, Ramazan banking hours will be observed for public dealing mentioned below.
