ISLAMABAD: The Federal Government has officially announced Eid ul Adha 2021 Holidays from 20 July 2021 to 22 July 2021.
“It is notified for general information that 20th to 22nd (Tuesday – Thursday) July, 2021 shall be public holidays on the occasion of Holy Festival of Eid-ul-Adha.” said the notification issued by the Ministry of Interior.
The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee had announced that Eid will be celebrated on 21 July after a meeting held in Karachi to sight the crescent moon. The provincial and district Ruet-e-Hilal Committees also met at their respective headquarters for the sighting of Zilhajj moon.
It is pertinent to mention that a fake notification has been circulating on social media regarding Eid ul Adha 2021 Holidays. The said circular started making rounds on social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook and WhatsApp.
However, the said notification was termed as fake by the Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Hamza Shafqaat on Twitter.
