ISLAMABAD: The Electricity has been restored in the twin cities at 5:30 am on the 10th January 2021, The power outage occurred at around 11:47 pm on 9th January when the National Transmission and Dispatch Company (NTDC) system tripped, reported by INCPAK
Cities across Pakistan were left in the dark as a major electricity breakdown occurred late Saturday night.
The cities facing disruption included Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Multan, Quetta, Sukkur, Hyderabad however electricity has now been restored in Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
According to the Muhammad Hamza Shafqaat,Deputy Commissioner Islamabad NTDC system tripped due to which whole country was plunged into darkness Social media platform twitter flooded with millions of tweets from all the cities reporting about the Power outage #Blackout trending on number 1 in Pakistan.
One after another city went down a complete blackout all across the country from Karachi to Kashmir at around 11:47 pm on Saturday.
At around 5:30 am morning hours the electricity was completely restored in Islamabad and Rawalpindi meanwhile being restored in other cities as well.
Usually Electricity outage and blackouts are considered bad omen, Social media flooded with speculations and fake news regarding the outage.
It took over six hours to restore the electricity, Meanwhile yet to be restored in other cities It is expected to be restored in few hours.
