The Government has blocked access to Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube and these social media services remain down in Pakistan after widespread criticism over the arrest of former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman (PTI), Imran Khan.
PTI Chairman, Imran Khan, was arrested from Islamabad High Court (IHC) by Rangers personnel, who had an arrest warrant issued by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in the Al-Qadir Trust case.
Many users have reported degraded internet services across the country, especially as they attempted to access to different social media platform. However, the Government has completely blocked access to Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube and these services remain down in Pakistan.

the world should learn from govt of pakistan on how the run a country, arresting the one person who can save the country, shutting down social media and internet so people cant voice their opinions, and letting corrupt officials into the army and positions of power and legalizing LGBT laws, instead of focusing on the rampant rapists, robbers and criminals running around the country as well as the absence of infrastructure in most of the country. Bravo government of pakistan, you played yourself. fucking hate this country and the fags its run by
why yall stoping social media, its the only thing that keeps us alive while you guys clown around like stupid kids.
what the hell social media do to you?like stfu and stop.
Well… I’m not quite sure how blocking the access to certain social media platforms, restricting any sort of internet access in a few selected major cities or suspending mobile services is a feasible solution in a situation as such.
What good is supposed to come out of this, reducing propaganda? My dear federal government, please come to the realization that you’re living in the year 2023. You’re coming up with a drastic “solution” to an issue that’ll hardly be a problem, if at all. If you’re to take any hints from the last year’s seige at Capitol from Trump supporters, please realize that you can still defuse a situation without taking any sort of stupid drastic measures as such. Seriously, who’s taking these decisions? Because this might easily be one of the most stupidest things you’ve ever done since the Wikipedia incident earlier this year.
Well what else can I say? If this comment’s to go anywhere from here, then please, my sweet sweet hardworking geniuses of the federal government, please stop acting like an absolute manchild and please remove any sort of internet restrictions that you’ve put forward immediately. You’re not solving a problem, but throwing petrol in an already burning fire by causing a public unrest. Seriously, what’s easier to tackle? A few people spreading propaganda on the internet that nobody will ever care about, or people out on the streets, causing property damage, rioting, etc.? I think you’re an adult enough to tell which one’s the problem you should tackle. Please grow up and have some decency instead of trying to blindfold yourself and your nation in an effort to fix a problem that doesn’t exist.
Thank you.
this is so fucking stupid
What social media platforms has to do with all of this situation, Pakistani Government is still living in the 90s or losing their mentality. Gosh, hate this government so much.
best country ever, love living here.
i dont think thats true
Fascist Country, better to leave asap and live in a country not run by bastards like these instead of living in this hellhole run by insecure army brats who have fragile egos and are part of corrupt army personnel
Achi English hai apki!
well said brother
I’ve been trying for years but theres no way unless you got some connections. I would be out of here in no time.
For everyone who is saying bull sh*t about there country for your kind information the gov banned social media platforms because we are being Humiliated in other countries and the videos will be shared through social media that’s why! & This is the time when India can jump in and destroy everything because they know we are weak and have our own civil wars going on…..
And banning social media will stop the humiliation? yeh toh wohi ho gaya, kabootar billi ko dekh ke aankh band kar leta hai. And how’s India jumping in anything to do with social media?
