ISLAMABAD: The Federal Commission constituted to revise master plan of Islamabad met at Capital Development Authority (CDA) headquarters here on Thursday.
The meeting of the Federal Commission was chaired by Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Amer Ali Ahmed who is also convener of the commission and attended by the members of the commission.
The commission during the meeting reviewed and discussed the recommendations submitted by the sub-committees of the commission which were constituted in the last meeting of the commission.
Sub-committee constituted to finalize the terms of reference for hiring consultant placed a draft Expression of Interest (EOI) advertisement and TORs for hiring of consultant before the commission for discussion and would be further considered for its finalization.
The second sub-committee of the commission constituted for finalizing the identification of areas of studies to be conducted for the revision of master plan shared its recommendations and proposals with commission members. In this context, it was decided that consolidated and comprehensive report covering all aspects would presented within two weeks.
In order to conduct public hearings, the meeting decided that Director General EPA will submit a proposal for organizing workshop of professionals and other stakeholders within two weeks. All stake holders including various segments of the society will be encouraged and invited including retired civil servants, ex-Chairmen CDA, residents of different sectors, chamber of commerce residents of Katchi Abdaies, media persons, professionals and students etc.
