In a tragic incident, a female medical student, who recently relocated with her family from Saudi Arabia to Lahore for educational purposes, was fatally shot during a dispute in the Chung Town Housing Society.
According to the First Information Report (FIR), the incident began when an underage driver, identified as Abdur Rehman, collided his car with another vehicle carrying the victim’s family, leading to a heated argument.
Following the vehicle collision, the underage driver contacted his uncle, who arrived at the scene and opened fire, resulting in the tragic death of the female medical student.

The FIR outlined that the suspect was driving recklessly, engaging in drifting maneuvers, and forcefully collided with the victim’s car. Subsequently, the underage driver’s uncle, along with other suspects, resorted to gunfire upon reaching the location, with one of the bullets fatally hitting the female medical student.
Despite being rushed to the hospital, the victim succumbed to her injuries, as mentioned in the FIR.
The police took swift action, arresting two suspects and recovering a weapon. However, three additional suspects remain at large.
It was revealed that the affected family had moved to Lahore from Saudi Arabia for their daughter’s education.
In response to the incident, the victim’s family wrote a letter to the Punjab Chief Minister, seeking protection. They expressed concern that the ‘influential’ suspects were exerting pressure on them for reconciliation.
