FIA Arrests Dania Shah’s Husband Shehzad in Rape Case

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested social media influencer Shehzad Hakeem, the husband of Dania Shah, in connection with an alleged rape case.

The arrest came after an objectionable video statement he made about the incident surfaced online.

According to an FIA statement issued from its headquarters in Islamabad on Wednesday, the Cyber Crime Circle in Multan apprehended Muhammad Shehzad, also known as Lohar Hakim. He, along with others, reportedly made obscene remarks about an alleged abuse case at a private college in Lahore, sharing inappropriate videos on the internet.

Dania Shah married Hakim Shehzad in July 2024. She initially gained attention in 2022 when televangelist Aamir Liaquat Hussain announced his third marriage to her, which sparked widespread controversy.

The situation worsened after Dania was arrested in a case involving indecent videos that surfaced before Liaquat’s death later in 2022 under mysterious circumstances. Liaquat’s first wife, Dr. Bushra Iqbal, and her children pursued legal action against Dania, accusing her of leaking the videos. Dania was later indicted by a Karachi court but was granted bail in 2023 against surety bonds worth Rs 2 million.
