The FIR was registered after Sessions Judge Attiqur Rehman ordered the Lahore Police to proceed in accordance with the law after hearing a petition filed by Advocate Sardar Farhat Manzoor Khan against Saba Qamar, Bilal Saeed and the entire team behind the Qubool music video.
The advocate also pleaded that action must be taken against the officials of the Punjab Auqaf and Religious Department for letting the celebrity duo shoot the music video and violating the sanctity of the mosque.
However, the department and the actors have argued that no offence had been committed and prior permission was taken against payment of Rs. 30,000 fee for the shooting to take place.
Saba Qamar while posting the controversial clip on her social media handles confirmed that the Nikah scene was just a prologue to the music video and was shot without any background music nor it was edited to include any music track.
Saba Qamar also apologized for hurting anyone’s sentiments unknowingly saying that she could never even think about disrespecting a place as sacred as a Mosque.
After hearing the complaints of everyone, Bilal Saeed himself issued an apology saying that the scene will be removed entirely from the Qubool music video and staying true to his word, the video was released on August 12, without that Nikah scene.
