Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan on Friday announced her decision to leave Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) primarily due to the May 9 incidents.
In a press conference, the Former Provincial Minister expressed that Imran Khan’s agenda had become detrimental to the nation.
She said that she joined Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) with a vision to aid Pakistan’s prosperity but the party’s objectives have changed.
Talking about the May 9 incident, she said, “In my 22 years of political journey, I have never witnessed such events.”
She added that May 9 riots were orchestrated from Zaman Park as part of a conspiracy driven by external motives.
It is pertinent to mention that many PTI leaders have left the party, including Fawad Chaudhry and Shireen Mazari.
