A fire broke out in Kashif Center on Shahrah-e-Faisal in Karachi, engulfing the structure in flames. Eight fire brigade vehicles are currently at the scene.
The blaze started in the Kashif Center building, with initial reports indicating a short circuit in the wiring as the cause. The building reportedly lacks emergency exits, allowing the fire to spread from the second floor to the upper levels. Several people are trapped inside, and rescue operations are underway.
Fire brigade officials confirmed that the Kashif Center building is 15 stories high. Fire engines arrived promptly after receiving the alarm, and the fire has been contained. Two fire tenders and a snorkel are actively battling the blaze, with the snorkel being used to evacuate people from the building.
A witness who managed to escape reported that there was no emergency exit, and the fire spread rapidly through the electrical wiring. He also claimed that the fire brigade arrived late.
