The first coronavirus case has been confirmed in Karachi, Pakistan according to the Sindh health department.
Yayha Jafri, 22, has been diagnosed with coronavirus in Karachi and has been placed under quarantine at the Aga Khan University Hospital along with his family.
According to the health department, Yayha had recently arrived in Karachi from Iran in a plane and everyone on that plane will be examined.

According to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority, 270 people arriving from Iran have been placed in Quarantine at the Taftan’s Pakistan House for two weeks.
Pakistan had recently closed its borders with Iran after the outbreak in the country that has killed 19 people and infected over 140 others.
Coronavirus has so far taken 2,770 lives globally with the majority of 2,615 deaths in China with a total of 81,245 cases globally recorded.
Despite the high number, there have been a total of 30,311 patients that have recovered from this coronavirus.
