The month of Muharram will commence from tomorrow (20 July 2023), marking the start of the new Islamic year 1445 AH.
Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee (RHC) Chairman, Syed Muhammad Abdul Khabir Azad, on Tuesday announced that Muharram moon was not sighted, which means first Muharram will be tomorrow (20 July 2023).
Furthermore, Youm-e-Ashura will be observed on 29th July 2023 (Saturday).
There will be holidays announced for 9th and 10th Muharram with the Government likely to issue notification in this regard in the coming days.
