The former executive director of the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC), Dr Seemi Jamali, has passed away on Saturday.
According to the details, Dr Seemi Jamali was under treatment at a private hospital in Karachi and a patient of cancer.
Her funeral prayers will be held at the JPMC mosque on Sunday during Asr prayer.
It is pertinent to mention that rumors of her death started circulation on social media last week but her family denied these claims.
Dr Seemi Jamali graduated from Nawabshah Medical College in 1986 and joined the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) in 1988.
In 1993, she completed her master’s degree in Primary Healthcare Management (MPHM) in Thailand and later took charge of JPMC’s emergency department in 1995.
She also did a postdoctoral fellowship in Emergency Care in the United States.
Jamali also served as a Member of the Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC) in December 2022 and received the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz (2019) and Women Achievement Awards.
