KARACHI: Another update regarding Dr Maha Shah suicide case reveals that a gang supplying drugs to the late doctor and social media influencer has been arrested by police.
According to details, the gang was arrested after police conducted a raid taking down the drug peddlers who were involved in supplying drugs to the deceased Dr Maha Shah.
Four culprits have been taken into custody during the investigation and police states that one of the accused named Saad was the one supplying cocaine to Dr Maha after she was reportedly made addicted to drugs by Junaid Khan.
Furthermore, the Sindh Health Department has constituted a five-member medical board on court order to exhume the body of Dr Maha Shah. However, the final date for exhumation has not been determined.
Dr Maha Shah allegedly committed suicide last month by shooting herself in the head at DHA Karachi and initially it was reported that the action was taken by the deceased after an argument with her father.
However, the story took a turn after more details came to light involving a man named Junaid Khan who reportedly physically and mentally tortured the victim leading her to commit suicide.
The lead to Junaid Khan becoming one of the suspects in the case involving the death of Dr Maha Shah. The accused also escaped from court in a Rikshaw during the hearing of the case in Karachi.
