Minar-e-Pakistan Incident has gone viral after a video started circulating on social media showing a girl, identified as TikToker Ayesha Ikram, getting assaulted and clothes torn by hundreds of unidentified men at Lahore’s Greater Iqbal Park on Independence Day (14th August 2021).

According to the details, a girl was filming a TikTok video when she was harassed and assaulted by hundreds of unidentified men at Greater Iqbal Park near Minar-e-Pakistan, who also tore her clothes. The Lahore Police has registered a First Information Report (FIR) against the incident on the complaint of the female TikToker and investigation on the matter is underway.
TikToker Ayesha Ikram said in her statement that she, along with six other friends were filming a TikTok video near Minar-e-Pakistan on Independence Day (14th August 2021) when around 300-400 men “attacked us.”
According to the FIR, the girl and her friends tried to escape the crowd of hundreds and the park’s security guard also tried to help by opening the enclosure around Minar-e-Pakistan but the crowd followed them as people were scaling the enclosure.
“However, the crowd was huge and people were scaling the enclosure and coming towards us. People were pushing and pulling me to the extent that they tore my clothes. Several people tried to help me but the crowd was too huge and they kept throwing me in the air,” she said.
The girl said that her friends were also assaulted by the crowed at Minar-e-Pakistan. She added that her ring and earrings were also forcibly taken by the crowd of men and one of her friend’s mobile phone, his CNIC and Rs. 15,000 were also stolen by the mob.
“The unidentified persons assaulted us violently,” the complainant, TikToker Ayesha Ikram, added.
The video of the incident showing the girl getting assaulted at Minar-e-Pakistan has gone viral on social media and caused a massive outrage amongst netizens who are demanding justice for TikToker Ayesha Ikram while pointing out that these men are the same people saying that this is an Islamic country but behave worse than animals.

Meanwhile, another Twitter user urged those with information to come forward to authorities.

FIR Registered
The Lahore Police has registered a First Information Report (FIR) under Sections 354 A (assault or use of criminal force against woman and stripping her of her clothes), 382 (theft after preparation made for causing death, hurt or restraint in order to commit the theft), 147 (rioting) and 149 (unlawful assembly) of the Pakistan Penal Code.
In this regard case# 988/21 has been registered at PS Lorry adda and all possible efforts are being made to identify the culprits through video evidence and CCTV footage.

The Lahore DIG Operations Sajid Kiyani has ordered superintendent of police (SP) to take immediate action against those involved in the incident at Minar-e-Pakistan.

Prime Minister Imran Khan has taken notice of the matter and directed authorities to take immediate action against the everyone involved, said PTI Leader Zulfi Bukhari on Twitter.
