Girl dies after gang-rape in Rahim Yar Khan District

A 20-year-old girl passed away in the hospital after she was subjected to a gang-rape in Chachran Sharif of Khanpur Tehsil in Rahim Yar Khan District.

According to the details, the 20-year-old girl was abducted, brutally tortured and gang-raped by a group of men before she was found in critical condition from a farm in Rahim Yar Khan District.

The young girl was shifted to hospital for treatment but unfortunately succumbed to her injuries one day after the horrific incident took place.

According to police, the girl went missing from her home in Lahore, subjected to torture and gang-rape before being discovered from a farm in Chachran Sharif located in Khanpur Tehsil of Rahim Yar Khan District.

A case has been registered against three men and doctors have revealed that the girl was strangled, stabbed and severely tortured as per the marks found on her body.

Meanwhile, the Inspector General of Punjab Inam Ghani has taken notice of the incident and sought a report from Regional Police Officer (RPO) Bahawalpur while ordering strict action against those responsible.

This gang-rape is just one in many being reported everyday as violence against women and children is on the rise across Pakistan or it is just being reported more frequently now.
