The Federal Government on Tuesday announced holidays for Eid ul Azha 2023 from 29th June 2023 to 1st July 2023. UPDATE – Govt Extends Eid ul Azha 2023 Holidays.

According to the details, the Government has announced two holidays for Eid ul Azha on 29th and 30th June 2023 (Thursday and Friday) for offices observing five working days a week, while offices with six working days a week will observe Eid ul Adha holidays from 29th June 2023 to 1st July 2023.
In a notification issued by the Cabinet Division, it was stated, “It is for general information that the Prime Minister is pleased to approve the public holidays on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha as follows:
- 29th & 30th June 2023 (Thursday & Friday) for the offices observing five days working in a week; and,
- 29th June to 1st July 2023 (Thursday, Friday & Saturday) for the offices observing 6 days working in a week.”

However, the people will get a total of four holidays for Eid ul Adha together with the weekend.
The announcement comes a day after the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee (RHC) sighted of the crescent for the month of Zil Hajj during a meeting held in Islamabad under the chairmanship of Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad.

I don’t know why Pakistan government do such immature decisions those have no base? Eid-ul-Adha more busy Eid comparatively Eid-ul-Fiter and always less holidays announced for Eid-ul-Adha.
