ISLAMABAD: The Federal Government is considering to promulgate an ordinance under which children will be restricted from evicting their aging parents from their homes.
Federal Minister for Law and Justice Dr Farogh Naseem met with Prime Minister Imran Khan discussing the promulgation of the ordinance which would protect the rights of aging parents while allowing them to evict their children from homes.

The federal minister proposed to prime minister Imran Khan that the ordinance should focus on three things:
- Children should be restricted from evicting parents from their home even if the house / apartment is owned by said children.
- If house if owned by parents, they should be allowed to evict children and their spouses.
- If houses are registered under the names of children but funded by parents or grandparents, parents need to be facilitated for the remainder of their life.
Without taking any time, the prime minister approved the proposal an asked the law minister to draft the ordinance.
