Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s federal government announced on Wednesday an increase in the minimum basic salary from Rs. 32,000 to Rs. 37,000 in the Federal Budget 2024-25.
This change is part of a larger plan to improve the financial stability of government employees for the upcoming fiscal year.
In a key meeting led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the cabinet approved the budget proposals for the fiscal year 2024-25.
During this meeting, the federal cabinet approved a significant 25 percent salary increase for government employees. Employees in grades 1 to 16 will receive a 25 percent salary raise, while officers in grades 17 to 22 will see a 22 percent increase. Additionally, retired employees will receive a 15 percent increase in their pensions.
These adjustments aim to support government employees and enhance their financial security in the new financial year.
