The Federal Government has announced an increase in the general sales tax (GST) for branded shoes and clothes in order to increase GST on the textile products in budget 2024-25.
According to the details, the sales tax (GST) has been increased to 18% on all branded shoes and clothes across the country.
In related budget news, the government has raised salaries of all public and government employees in the country.
The cabinet has approved the proposal to increase basic salary from Rs. 32,000 to Rs. 37,000, while government officials are getting a 25% increase in their salaries.
