The Federal Government has released the schedule of load-shedding during Ramadan 2023. According to the details, the Ministry of Energy has announced that no loadshedding will be carried out during Sehr, Iftar, and Taraweeh during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif directed to ensure uninterrupted supply of electricity during Ramadan after which the Ministry of Energy issued directives to the DISCOS in this regard.
The Ministry asked DISCOS to ensure to loadshedding takes place during Sehri, Iftari, and Taraweeh prayers. “There will be zero load management an hour before and after Sehri while one hour before Iftar and three hours after,”
Furthermore, there will be control rooms set up to ensure smooth operation and uninterrupted supply of electricity to consumers. Moreover, special teams will be formed to address complaints of people at division and sub-division level.
