The Pakistan Government is gearing up to announce this year’s Ramazan Relief Package 2024 worth Rs. 7.49 billion, which will be available at Utility Stores across the country on March 4. The development has gained a lot of attention from inflation-burdened masses, who are going to get a much-needed relief from this initiative during the holy month.
As per Utility Stores officials, the Ramadan Relief Package aims to ease the financial strain on consumers throughout the sacred month of Ramadan by extending discounts on 19 fundamental items through precisely directed subsidies. These subsidized essentials inlcude flour, sugar, ghee, cooking oil, rice, pulses, as well as dates, besan (chickpea flour), milk, beverages, and spices.
Nonetheless, officials have clarified that only beneficiaries enrolled in the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) will qualify for the targeted subsidy under the Ramazan Relief Package 2024. For the general populace, exclusive discounted rates on essential goods will be made available, alongside the targeted subsidy tailored for BISP recipients.
Moreover, the Ramadan Relief Package for 2024 will remain in effect until Chaand Raat, ensuring consumers have ample time to avail themselves of the subsidized items’ benefits.
